Hello! I am Andrea Caputo and I am a passionate researcher, educator, consultant and world traveler.
I am Reader (Associate Professor) in Entrepreneurship at the Lincoln International Business School, University of Lincoln (UK), where I teach Postgraduate courses in Strategy and direct the MBA Full Time. Moreover, I am part of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Bruno Visentini, a political and economic think tank based in Rome, Italy. Previously, I served as Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, in Jordan from 2013 to 2015. I also held visiting positions at the University of Queensland Business School, at The George Washington School of Business, and at the University of Pisa.
I received my PhD in Management (Economics and Organization of Firms) in January 2013 from the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’, School of Economics, in Italy. My research expertises are related to negotiation, decision-making, entrepreneurship and strategic management; covering subjects such as integrative negotiations, strategic negotiations, cultural differences and diversity, and entrepreneurship in developing countries. For example, I am currently studying the impact of negotiation and conflict management processes in organizations, such as family businesses, self-employed entrepreneurs, and the impact of such processes on the organizations’ strategy.
I have authored a number of international publications and presented my work at several of the most important international conferences, such as the Academy of Management, the International Association for Conflict Management, and the European Academy of Management.
I am also an active management consultant and negotiator.
